• Restless ghost. The restless souls of warriors. Hand from the coffin

    25.08.2020
Mom lived in a dormitory, studied in the evening department at a medical college, and worked in a hospital during the day. Four girls lived in the room, including her. All of them were from an orphanage, where children from different villages and cities of the Altai Territory ended up. Paranormal phenomena often occurred in their room: forks and spoons rattled at night, or pots rattled. The girls often complained to each other: “You suddenly wake up at night, and someone is lying behind your back - and you feel him - and sighs loudly.” The sigh sounded like something terrible, inhuman, reminiscent of a horse neighing when it becomes stubborn.
In Soviet times, conversations on such topics were prohibited. They could have landed you in a mental hospital. However, a terrible feeling of fear overcame reason, and the girls told the commandant about their terrible room, to which she replied: “I won’t tell anyone, but I won’t move them either! There are no rooms available. Sleep with the light on."
That’s what my mother and her friends did, although it was of little use! You wake up in the middle of the night, open your eyes, and something, or rather someone, is shaking your bed. Mom used to wake up in the morning to Lyuba, her neighbor, shoving her feet in her face. It was she who moved to her at night, so that it would not be so creepy, to sleep “out.”
Fear drove the girls crazy. However, my mother always slept like dead and never heard anyone. The friends, Lyuba and Natasha, eventually ran away to other girls. They even agreed to sleep on the floor, just not in their room! So there were two people left in the room: mom and Nadya.
One day my mother woke up in the middle of the night. He looked: there was darkness all around, but thanks to the moonlight some outlines were visible. She raised her head and was speechless. In the center of the room stood a luminous male figure: tall, broad shoulders. Mom lay there and could not move her arm or leg, she could not even swallow. A feeling of fear rushed into her mind. There was some strange draft in the room! It blew like a grave cold, plunging me into a state of coma. Mom described it this way: “You’re lying down and you’re not sure if you’re lying down. It’s as if something unprecedented lifts you from the ground, you can’t blink, and your fading heart beats less and less, as if these are its last beats.”
The ghost, who carefully watched my mother’s reaction, took the teapot with his hands sliding through the air and brought it to his mouth. He drank the water as if he were a living person. And then, by some miracle, my mother plucked up courage and said to this man: “Why are you scaring us? What have we done to you? You have lived your life and let us live!” The ghost put the teapot on the table and looked even more intently at his mother. He approached and bent down so close that the snoring coming from him could be clearly heard and the icy wind could be felt. Then the man suddenly straightened up and walked through the wall, disappearing from sight. No one else heard noises or incomprehensible snoring nearby at night. Mom’s friends never found out that it was she who drove the restless spirit out of the room.

"The Restless Spirit" is an optional quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance.

The herbalist asked me to help Dragomira from Ledechko. The ghost of her deceased neighbor appears to her at night and does not let her sleep.

How to unlock: talk to the herbalist in her hut north of Ledechko.

The starting point for this quest is not in Ledechko - you must visit the herbalist. Her hut is located on the edge of the forest north of Ledechko (see map). She tells you that Dragomira from Ledecko needs help - she is being haunted by a ghost. The herbalist wants you to perform an exorcism.

    First meeting with Dragomira

Start with the second goal - collect 10 poppies. Do this before meeting Dragomira for the first time. You don't have to buy flowers from an herbalist. Find them in the southern part of Ledechko.

    • The screenshot above shows an example of where you can find them (note - there are other red flowers that grow near Ledechko - ignore them, it's the poppies you want).
    • After this, you must meet Dragomira in the village and talk about her problem. Promise her an exorcism ritual.
Collect flowers that grow on the grave and the first ritual

You need flowers that grow on the grave of a restless soul, so go to Sazawa. There you must go to the cemetery near the church.

    • Find the grave shown above and collect Cemetery flowers (Note - note that there is another grave nearby, but you should ignore it).
    • Return to Dragomira and go to her house. Start the ritual (the choice of dialogue lines does not affect this part of the quest). Burn the collected flowers.
    Find the Necronomicon

Talk to Dragomira the next day. You will learn that the exorcism was unsuccessful. The woman suggests you talk to the pharmacist. Go to Rattay's pharmacy and tell her about her problem with the ghost.

    • The next step is to find a book called the Necronomicon. The pharmacist invites you to find it in the Sazava monastery. The game does not give any specific indication of the book's location.
    • The monastery is a large structure in the northern part of Sazava (map above). Don't expect the monks to give you the Necronomicon, you'll have to steal it. Take off your armor to avoid noise and go to the monastery at night.

Cross the bridge (south entrance) to the monastery. The stairs leading to the upper balconies are located on the left (in the screenshot above). You must follow the path indicated by the red arrow on the map.

    • Head south once you reach the upper balconies. You will reach a door that can be opened without a master key (the same goes for all other doors).
    • Continue through the adjacent rooms until you reach a room with four large chairs (screenshot above). Here you can find a chest (second screenshot) that needs to be opened (unfortunately, it is locked with a complex lock). Take it away Key to Forbidden Books .

    • Go east and go through several empty rooms. After a while you should reach a huge library. Approach the large closet (screenshot above). Use the key you received earlier to open it (otherwise you'll have to deal with a very difficult lock) and collect Necronomicon.
    • Return to the pharmacist in Rattay. Give him the book (you will receive 20 groschen). He needs time to read the book, so wait a few hours and come back (the quest will not automatically update). Talk to your pharmacist and discuss your next steps.
    Second ritual

You must find out what worries the restless spirit, so talk to Dragomira. Go to Alois's house. This place has been burned down, but you will still have to explore it. Coal from the Alois farm .

    • Besides visiting this place, you also need to find Lada's grave. Talk to someone from Ledechko and ask about Lada. You will find out where her grave is. It is located on the top of a hill in the location shown in the screenshot. Just approach him to update the quest.
    • Return to the pharmacist in Rattay. Return to Ledechko, wait at the appointed place until nightfall and go together to Lada’s grave to perform the second ritual.
Visit Father Boguta and install the expiatory cross

    • Wait until dusk and talk to Dragomira again - the ritual performed last night did nothing. The woman gives you 150 groschen and asks to meet with Father Boguta in Uzice. Talk to the priest and return to Dragomira. You can convince her to tell the truth, use eloquence/intimidation if necessary.
    • Dragomira gives 10 groschen to cover the cost of the reconciliation cross. Go to the quarry near Talmberg and talk to Ruprecht. A cut scene is activated. Talk to Dragomira one last time. As a reward she gives 20 groschen And Dragomira's Ring for your help.

    Restless Souls

Since time immemorial, damnation of the soul to eternal wanderings has been considered a particularly severe posthumous punishment. Warlocks and occultists of Mesopotamia and Babylon, Egypt and Greece, Rome and Judea perfectly mastered this sacred ritual, designed to close the human soul - his subtle etheric body - from entering other world and thereby doom her to eternal suffering “between worlds.” Great masters of such curses were the pagan magicians of Kievan Rus, who later passed on the secrets of the craft to the Novgorod and Pskov magicians, from where they moved to the Arkhangelsk lands, and then to Siberia.

It used to be that if you bury a person in a cemetery whom someone cursed during his lifetime, his restless soul would not give rest to the other deceased. The legend of one of these phantoms is remembered by the old-timers of Narym. In the 19th and first half of the 20th centuries, the transparent figure of a tall woman appeared from time to time in the old cemetery, cursed by one of the residents of this town for stealing her fiancé. After the cemetery was demolished in the mid-1950s and a community center was built in its place, the ghost began to appear there too.

It is believed that ghosts cursed to wander forever begin to acquire the ability to physically influence objects of the material world, sometimes causing them significant harm. According to a number of parapsychologists, mysterious cases associated with the destruction of tombstones and monuments in old cemeteries are often the result not of hooligan actions, but the fruit of the “riot” of such restless entities...

A similar incident occurred in the 1980s in one of the motorized rifle units near Krasnoyarsk. For almost ten years, the “main attraction” of this military unit was the ghost of a soldier, who appeared on its territory from time to time. The “grandfathers” frightened recruits with this mysterious creature, and the officers themselves more than once saw the ghost of a serviceman floating through the air, but preferred not to talk about it.

In the 1960s, the childless family of Vladimir and Marina Eltsov lived in Leningrad. Marina, bored by her dull everyday life, found solace in the arms of her fellow lover. One day she told her husband about everything and asked for a divorce. The distraught Vladimir, in a fit of rage, attacked his wife and strangled her. Then, having come to his senses and having thought everything over, the man, over the course of several days, made a niche in the brick wall of the apartment and walled up the body there. Soon he moved to Vladivostok, where a year later he was drunk and hit by a speeding train. The woman's disappearance was never solved. Marina's ghost began to appear about two years later - neighbors began to notice how a restless soul began to wander around the entrance. The residents of the cursed apartment suffered especially: mountains of broken dishes in the kitchen, wallpaper torn off the wall... Only thirty years later, the ghost of Marina appeared in a dream to the new owner of the apartment, Victoria Vlasova, and told about her murder and where the body was located. The hostess did not immediately believe the dream, but doubts were dispelled when a few days later she came face to face with the ghost. At first the woman felt shaky with fear, but then, having calmed down, she asked the spirit what he needed. The ghost said briefly: “Peace,” and pointed to the tattered wall. The next morning, Vlasova called the police and asked to open the wall. And what was the surprise of those present when the body of a young woman, dried to the state of a mummy, appeared behind the brickwork! In the archives there was found a case that had once been opened about the disappearance of Marina Eltsova... The murdered woman was buried and finally found peace.

In 1989, while repairing the boiler house building under a brick wall, builders came across a skeleton with a broken skull in a half-decayed military uniform. As a result of the investigation, it was possible to establish that these were the remains of a soldier who had been considered a deserter for many years. In 1980, during a fight, he was killed by his colleagues, who, in order to cover up the traces of the crime, decided to wall up his body in the wall. But, apparently, the guy’s soul remained restless, frightening his colleagues with his appearance, as if reminding him of a past insult.

No soul, no personality Of all the Buddha's sayings, one sounds especially offensive: we have no soul. Mormons say that our souls existed before we were born; almost all religions promise us the survival of the soul after death. And according to Buddhists, Hindus are mistaken,

    .
Earlier we talked about how the birth and life of a person influences the appearance of all sorts of supernatural creatures - benandanti, zdukhachi, etc.
    .
But the specifics of birth and life are not all that the influence on posthumous existence is limited to. It is also important how a person dies, in what state his soul is and in what way he leaves this world. So, if a person dies (“goes away in peace”) with a calm soul, that’s one thing. But if he walks away, overwhelmed by passions and emotions, that’s completely different. In this case, his spirit may not go where it needs to go, but return to earth.

    .
In Britain such perfumes are called " ghost", Europe - " revenant" ("returned"), in Japan - " ", in Russia - " ghost" And " ghost", in Belarus - " building", "Blasen" And " break".

    . Illustration from "Hyakkai-Zukan"
    .
    Why don't the spirits rest...
    .
For example, because they are driven REVENGE!
    .

    .
The desire to take revenge on the culprit of his death forced, for example, the shadow (spirit) of Hamlet’s father, the Prince of Denmark, to come from oblivion and entrust his revenge to his son.

    .
And in Japan there is a whole class of Yurei (ghosts) who are preoccupied with revenge. These are called ghosts.

    .
Such ghosts have only one goal - revenge! They have enough strength to easily and quickly kill any person, but most often the vengeful spirit prefers to pursue its victim for a long time, poisoning life in every possible way and watching its torment and suffering... But the end is almost always the same - death.

    .
Therefore, most often Onryo sends terrible curses to the person or place that becomes the object of persecution.
    .
European ghosts are much calmer in this sense, although they also thirst for revenge. For example, our Town Hall Ghost...

    .
They say that one of the powerful Radziwills had a friend and distant relative, Michal Volodkovich, who wanted to become a member of the magistrate. He was a drunkard and a womanizer, so it is clear that no one was waiting for him at the town hall. And then one day Radziwill came to Minsk with soldiers and overnight his unlucky comrade received the coveted position. Despite his new status, Volodkovich continued to create one madness after another

    .
The cup of patience ran out when, in the Magistrate, he drunkenly took out a saber, wounded a bunch of people and cut open the one lying on the table. Volodkovich was captured and sentenced to death almost without trial. He, believing that he was being played, refused to apologize. Immediately after this, Michal was taken to a park near the town hall and shot. They say that the soul of the villain appeared for a long time at night near the town hall and demanded fair retribution.

    .
It happens that ghosts appear because they have died, still harboring a very strong feeling for someone. LOVE. This is, for example, the story of the Minsk ghost of Loshitsa Park...

    .
In 1905, on her birthday, the wife of the owner of the estate, Mrs. Jadwiga, met a handsome young man, which turned her head. And two months later tragedy struck...
What exactly happened on that ill-fated night is not known for sure. People only saw that in the middle of the night Yadviga Lubanskaya went down the steep bank to the river and got into the boat.

    .
The next morning, the last mistress of the Loshitsa estate was found dead not far from the overturned vessel.

    .
Jadwiga's husband was sad about the loss for a long time, and then in memory of his young wife he planted a Manchurian apricot in the park...

    .
Since then, in April, when the full moon coincides with the flowering period of the Manchurian apricot, from 10 to 11 pm, an unusually distinct silhouette of a woman in wide white robes often appears against the background of the moon. They say a date with her is a good omen for lovers.
    .
In general, the meeting of lovers after death is a big topic that probably exists in every nation.
    .
Orpheus went for the soul of Eurydice to the kingdom of Hades, Dante went down to hell for the soul of Beatrice, Petrarch immortalized his beloved Laura in his poems, Tristan, even after death, grows like a thorn to his beloved Isolde, in Belarusian songs they sing about lovers who sprouted from the graves “yavaram dy kalіnay” "...

    .
U different nations there are many legends that even buried lovers strive for each other, be it in the form of trees planted on their graves...

    .
...or in the form of restless ghost souls...

    .
For example, we are told that a BLACK MONK is wandering around the Golshansky Castle.
The legend described by Korotkevich talks about a love story in which a simple guy Gremislav Valyuzhin fell in love with Hanna Gordislava Golshanskaya. The girl reciprocated his feelings.
However, the girl was from a princely family, but the guy was rootless. Therefore, they could not just meet and in order to see his beloved, the young man dressed himself as a monk.

    .
But one day someone informed the girl’s father that a certain monk was sneaking into his daughter every day. The lovers' secret was revealed. The enraged prince-father ordered the false monk to be walled up in the basements of the castle. Since then, the Black Monk has been wandering near the walls of Golshansky Castle...

There is a similar legend about Krevsky Castle.

    .
Here they talk about a girl who can be found at night near the castle walls, walking her dog.
    .
They say that once there lived two princes in the castle, and through misfortune they fell in love with one girl. One of them killed the other out of jealousy, but the girl refused to reciprocate. Then the enraged prince ordered her to be built into the wall. And since she almost never parted with her dog, the dog was walled up with her.
    .
Those who lived in the castle at that time said that for several days heart-rending screams and dog barking were heard, but after a few days there was silence. After this, near the castle walls at night, many began to see a girl walking, her dog hovering at her feet. If she suddenly noticed someone, she tried to charm and hug. Those who succumbed to her spell were found dead in the morning with broken bones...

    .
And in Japan they talk about ghosts by name.

    .
This is the ghost of a dead woman, whose love is so great that it does not allow her to lie peacefully in her grave. The power of this love allows her to be close to her lover despite death.
The beloved sees the ghost the same as it was during life: a young woman in the prime of life and beauty. And only those whose vision is not clouded by love, or true believers, can see through the mask her true image: a rotting, fetid skeleton, risen from the dead.
Hone-onna herself does not suspect her death; she is driven only by love. And only passion for her beloved returns her to the world of the living. She spends the night with her man, and the next morning she leaves him, and this relationship can last for several days or even weeks (we would say “walks like a ghoul”).

    .
Every night, the hone-onna drains the life force from her lover, and he becomes weaker and weaker. If left unchecked, he will eventually die and join his mistress in the embrace of death.
    Hone-onna. Illustration by Matthew Mayer
    .
In addition to the love of a man and a woman, there is also parental love. Even dead parents take care of their children, invisibly trying to protect them from various troubles.
    .
That's how they talk about it in Japan.

    .
Ubume is the spirit of a deceased mother in labor. When a woman dies just before, during or after childbirth, her soul is often unable to leave this world out of love for the child and becomes an ubume ghost. Ubume appears most often on dark, rainy nights and is practically indistinguishable from an ordinary woman with a child in her arms.

. These sad spirits wander near the place where they died, trying to find help from the living. If a woman died during childbirth, but her child remained alive, the ubume spirit will try to take care of him as best she can.

    Ubume. Katsushika Hokusai
    .
She tries to buy clothes, food and sweets for the child, but instead of money she pays with a handful of dry leaves. In addition, ubume often tries to lead people to a child if he is poorly cared for, so that he can be taken in by relatives or adopted by some other person.

    .
    Love comes in different forms...
    .
There is a Church of Saints Simon and Alena in Minsk.

    .
This building immortalized the grief of parents who lost two of their children to the flu.
On the night before her death, 18-year-old Elena Voinilovich dreamed mother of God, who showed the girl an image of the future church. Waking up, the young artist made a sketch, embodying what she saw in her dream on paper. In the evening she died, having survived her younger brother Simeon for a very short time...
    .

The inconsolable parents built a church according to the sketch.

    .
Soon, inexplicable things began to happen in him - during prayer, it felt as if children who had become angels were touching their praying parents with the tips of their wings. These touches became a kind of consolation for Edward and Olympia Voinilovich...
    .

Unfortunately, it is not only love that motivates ghosts. There are also souls that, out of their eternal malice, envy those who remain to live on earth.
    .
Such souls harass the living in every possible way, becoming stronger and more active near the places where they died when the clock approaches the time of their death.
    Boris Zabirokhin
    .
If such a person died in the house, then he will harass the household in every possible way, especially at night...
The Slavs, in particular, have such a spirit - MARA. It is from it, frightening at night, sitting on the chest and pressing, sending terrible and terrible dreams, that the word NIGHTMARE comes from.
Well, obviously, the word “MARA” is related to the word “DEATH”.
    .
However, such spirits were known throughout Europe.
    .
It is believed that the word " NIGHTMARE" comes from fr. Cauchemar: from Old French. caucher "to crush" and mare "ghost".
    Nightmare, Henry Fuseli
    .
In England, the same thing began to be called NIGHTMARES, night ghosts.

    .
In fantasy, Nightmare nightmares often refer to the remains of dead horses that have been given a semblance of life through necromancy.

    .
Obviously, these Nightmares-Knightmares originate from these - winged horses from the world of Harry Potter, more like skeletons than living horses.

. Thestrals prefer meat, but can get by on other foods. They are perfectly oriented in space, can fly for a long time without rest, and they have a wonderfully developed sense of smell.

Thestral. Concept art by Rob Bliss
    .
They can only be seen by someone who has already seen someone die.
    .
In Japan, where the most extensive classification of ghosts is yurei, evil spirits are called SHIRYO, which means “dead.” By and large, this is a synonym for all spirits, because they are not “alive”. However, Shiryo has one peculiarity...
    Shiryo.
    .
The fact is that Shiryo usually appears in front of his relatives to take them with him to world of the dead(like Scottish FETCH).
    Shiryo. Nabeta Gyokuei
    .

The passion that prevents the soul from resting after death can be brought an oath, and some unfinished business, an ardent desire to convey some news to someone or a feeling of guilt
    .
In Prague, for example, they talk about a headless Templar knight. He was once slandered and sentenced to death. Before his death, he swore an oath that his ghost would scour in search of justice. Since then, every night from 12 to one, he rides on a horse and finds no peace.
You need to grab the knight's horse and pierce his heart with his own sword so that the ghost finds peace.

    .
There in the Czech Republic they talk about ghostly SKELETON BEGGAR.

    .
Once a very tall student (204 cm). A local school teacher really wanted to get the skeleton of a young man for his skeleton collection. For a certain amount, the student bequeathed his skeleton to the teacher. With the money he received, he got drunk in a tavern and died in a fight, and the skeleton became a worthy addition to the educational collection.

    .
Now at night he goes out and begs for alms from drunken passers-by in order to buy back his bones.
    .
There are stories about TO THE CALLING NUN.

    .
Once upon a time, a rich lady tortured her maid to death because she prayed every time the church bells rang. Then her conscience woke up, she gave away her wealth and went to a monastery. After death, these same bells ring.
    .

Guilt, by the way, created and BLOODY BARON- the ghost of the Slytherin house.

    .
He once loved Elena Ravenclaw, the daughter of Candida, the founder of the Ravenclaw faculty. Once, in a fit of rage (the Baron always had a violent temper), he killed his beloved, who became the Gray Lady, and when he realized what he had done, he committed suicide.

    .
    There are ghosts created CURSE
On the right side of the Mir Castle there used to be a beautiful flowering garden, but at the end of the 19th century, the new owner of the castle, Nikolai Svyatopolk-Mirsky, ordered it to be cut down and a pond to be dug in the vacant space.

    .
It was spring, and the apple trees were in full bloom. According to popular belief, cutting down an apple tree during flowering is a great sin. Therefore, no one in the World decided to carry out the prince’s order. Angry, Nikolai took an ax and cut down several apple trees himself. The garden was cut down, but during the development of the lake, misfortunes began, people drowned in the lake alone. And one day the prince dreamed of an old woman, the mother of one of the drowned people, and cursed the prince himself and his entire family.

    .
Tomorrow, 12-year-old Princess Sonechka drowned. Later, Nikolai Svyatopolk-Mirsky was also found on the shore. They say that the ghost of the damned Sonechka still wanders around the Mir Castle.
    .
And it happened that the soul was called from the other world by force and it could not return back. This happened with the most beautiful woman of her time, Barbara Radziwill.

    .
They say that King Sigismund Augustus of the Republic of Poland fell in love with the beautiful Barbara. And he married against the wishes of his parents...
Jan Maciejka. "Zhygimont August with Barbara and the Radzivila Palaces in Vilni"
. Unfortunately, the happiness of the young people was short-lived. Many are sure that Sigismund's mother poisoned her daughter-in-law.

    .
Sigismund was heartbroken. In desperation, he even turned to the warlock sorcerer Tvardovsky for help. He promised that he would summon the spirit of Barbara, but on one condition: the king was strictly forbidden to touch him. However, the ban was not carried out: as soon as the ghost of Barbara appeared, Sigismund rushed to him to hug him. There was an explosion... and the ghost disappeared.

Some people believe that if the king had died in the castle, their souls would have united and calmed down, but death overtook Sigismund in another place. Therefore, the ghost of Barbara, whom local residents called BLACK LADY, wanders around the castle, scaring its visitors. And the soul of Sigismund also does not know peace, instilling fear in the guests of the Krakow Castle.

ATTACHMENT TO PLACE, especially if a person with a strong soul and fiery feelings loved this place, can also contribute to the appearance of a ghost.
    .
As happened in the case of the SUKHAREVA TOWER in Moscow.

    .
There the engineer, astrologer and alchemist Jacob Bruce, who lived during the time of Peter I, spent all his nights. According to legend, he kept there the famous “Black Book”, written by the Prince of Darkness himself. This book terrified the townspeople.

    .
Even after the death of the famous alchemist, the light in the Sukharev Tower continued to light up every night. In 1934, the warlock's tower was demolished, but the ghost of a dry old man appears quite often in that place.
    .
A slightly different story happened in LIDA CASTLE.

.At night in Lida Castle you can hear the clanking of armor and see brave soldiers of the 14th century. These are the soldiers who died in the siege. According to legend, the castle was besieged by the crusaders, and during one of the attacks the prince disappeared, leaving his soldiers in the castle. The men died, and since then their ghosts have been guarding the castle for more than 600 years. They yearn for battles, so they can most often be seen during rehearsals for knightly tournaments and exhibition fights.
    .
But most often the souls of dead soldiers can be found on PLACES OF BLOODY BATTLES.

    .
So, in Japan they talk about a ghost AIREY- ghosts of fallen warriors or heroes. These are fairly harmless ghosts who rarely take revenge, since they die in battle and have no personal grudge (after all, death is part of their trade). However, most Eirei cannot separate themselves from the historical events in which they participated.

    .
This type of Yurei is usually not easy to distinguish from a real person. He wanders around the site of ancient battles or in the vicinity of the temple, and waits for someone who would listen to the story of the deeds of bygone days. In this story, the airei whitens his unfairly slandered name and calms down only when the truth becomes known.
    .
There have been many bloody battles in the history of mankind. Eyewitnesses talk about ghostly repetitions of the battles of Marathon, Sheiloh, Dunkirk, Stalingrad...

    .
According to local residents, the Shiloh battlefield in Tennessee, USA, is still haunted to this day. The Battle of Shiloh was one of the largest battles of the American Civil War. Over 24,000 people died here during a fierce two-day battle in April 1862.

    .
A few months later, rumors spread around the area about a ghostly battle that allegedly took place in the same place. Eyewitnesses claimed that the sounds of gun salvos, the ringing of sabers and bayonets, as well as the screams and groans of the dying could be heard from the field.

You can believe in the existence of life after death or consider it a fairy tale. But the fact remains: a large number of inexplicable phenomena that cannot be explained scientific explanation, happen to ordinary people.

You don’t have to be Fox Mulder from the once famous TV series “The X-Files” to realize that such phenomena exist. And they are mostly associated with the appearance of restless ghosts in apartments and houses.

You can find many examples, and not only on the World Wide Web, which not all people believe. Inexplicable phenomena are constantly written about in the media, and many magazines and newspapers do not specialize in fantastic stories.

    Phantom Highway

The story that happened in Great Britain thundered throughout the world (famous all over the world). On a busy stretch of road through central and north-west England, motorists are constantly seeing inexplicable things that simply cannot be explained.

Drivers right on the asphalt On the road they see either a detachment of Romans, in full ammunition and ready for battle, or a ghost of a truck. Moreover, a detachment of legionnaires is very visible even at night. The ghost of a truck now and then rushes towards motorists.

Accidents and other incidents occur very often on sections of the highway near which mass graves are located. Experts in the field of unexplained phenomena are accustomed to associate these phenomena with the negative effect of restless spirits on living people. But what kind of ghosts are these that do not allow us to live our lives in peace?

    Hand from the coffin

Mystics believe that the dead communicate with living people throughout the existence of mankind. Sometimes contact occurs with the souls of people who, for some reason, cannot leave the physical world. This often happens to the souls of young people who died tragically under unexplained circumstances.

It is difficult for the soul of a person who has died a violent death to come to terms with the fact of his death. There is an opinion that the souls of suicides are also doomed to wander the earth for a certain time (which is limited, but to them it seems like an eternity). The soul of a person who did not have time to complete an important task on this earth does not find peace.

Why are restless souls dangerous to living people? Many people believe that unexpected troubles, unexplained illnesses in even the healthiest people, and failures in business are the result of contact with a restless entity. We should not forget about the “noisy spirit” of the poltergeist, which is capable of settling in a human home.

Are the dead capable of causing trouble to the living or not? There is no consensus on this matter. But the life of the soul does not end with the last nail in the coffin. And it would be too naive not to admit this.
